Ausralia Zoo - Brisbane.

CRIKEY!!!! Yip we came, we saw, and we enjoyed the amazing AUSTRALIA ZOO (After a visit to the glasshouse mountains! Amazing remnant volcanic plug mountains just in land from the east coast).. Not big zoo fans but we loved this one. Massive enclosures for ALL the animals, really educational, and hands on staff who spend loads of time interacting with the critters.
Highlights were Jude finally getting to stroke a Koala! its butt to be exact, but Koala never the less, and the Croccosium display- Birds Snakes and CROCS!! really cool.
We spent the whole day there, for $49 each we had to get our moneys worth, but we did and would recommend it to anyone. Missed the mighty Steve though.
We then headed down to Brissy and had a poo weekend. Brisbane is cold wet and frankly not worth a visit!!!! Only kidding. It's great, we hooked up with Rich, Jill and Mike and Sara of Melbourne Christmas fame, and had a lovely afternoon strolling around the various museums and galleries on the south bank. before Rich headed off to watch wales get a whupping in the rugby!! we went to a Belgian beer cafe and ended up having our latest night for 8 weeks!! 11.18pm before we hit the sack!!! ROCK AND ROLL!!!
We then met a "Pete the Pom" on Sunday Morning (Family friend), who cooked us a fried breakfast and chatted for 3 hours supplying us with dvd' books and a drive of his rather nice 1974 Jag!!! 4.2. I pretty much had the perfect Sunday morning, and that combined with him being a top bloke to boot made for a very pleasant start to the day. we then hooked up with rich and Jill and the crew for a late lunch before hitting the road again.
In Surfers paradise now, can't imagine anything other than the surf being paradise anymore thanks to 50 years of continual highrise building!!! Pretty......
Hope all is well with all..
