North to Whitsundays coast!!

Firstly the Dub is running sweeeeet!!! Just in case you were all worried.

Well we have been bumbling down the top east coast at a very leisurly pace compared to the middle. We are now in Mackay for those of you in the know..

We've had a full on reef ecperience in the last week. We stayed a few days at a place called Mission Beach where they have a catemeran that boasts the fastest trip to the Outer reef (beaver Cay marine park) 1hr, so we went on it. full day with about 3 hours snorkeling all in all in crystal clear seas about 22 nauticle miles off the coast. Just amazing, millions of fish of all shapes sizes and colours! hopefully some pics of this too!!!

We then - for contrast - moved to a place called Airlie beach ( Bit of a party town) at the North area of the coast in the Whitsunday island region. From here (possibly the highlight so far) we had a day sailing on MAXI Ragamuffin, a world class, 3 times Sydney to Hobart winning yacht! It took us to Blue pearl bay, a fringe reef around Haymen Island for a spot more snorkling, then lunch, a few XXXX beers, and a leisurely sale back. Absolutely wicked day with top crew! and we got to hoist the main sale!!!!
